FESSENDEN HOUSE: THE
FACTS
FESSENDEN HOUSE IS:
- A home for those who would
otherwise be homeless
- A safe haven to recover from
alcohol and/or drug addiction and learn how to live with HIV/AIDS
- A welcoming and supportive
residence for men who often fail to find a welcome elsewhere
- A group home unlike any other in
Westchester County: two Religious brothers live with the residents and share
their lives with them
Located in the Southwest Quadrant of
Yonkers, NY, which:
- has been designated an Economic
Development Zone
- has one of the highest rates of
vaccine preventable diseases, tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS in Westchester
County
- is home to one in five families
who live in poverty

unemployment, high school dropouts, overcrowded housing, and children in
poverty
- is home to approximately 94% of
Yonkers’ at-risk youth ("at-risk" meaning at risk of teen pregnancy, school
failure/ dropout, and/or juvenile crime/delinquency).
- A faith-based organization that
has no government funding and relies on a few caring individuals and a small
group of foundations for assistance
- Dependent on this small group of
donors whose collective generosity provides us with 70% of our annual
$133,000 budget. We cannot continue to offer our services without you.
You can make a real difference in the
lives of men who are ready to make a difference in their lives.
Please give as generously as you can.
We would be happy to have you arrange for a visit. Give Brother Christopher or
